On our first night in Kyoto, our tour guide Yoko accompanied us to Gion late in the evening to see some geisha and maiko. It was fascinating to see these women clad in intricate costumes and make-up walking around in such a contemporary setting.

I particulary love the colors of this outfit. The gold accents remind me of steampunk. And how awesome is this gold earphone necklace? It automatically wins at life for being so unique.
The magical shoes that people have been lusting over. Passersby were repeatedly telling him, “I like your shoes!”
Was in photographer-mode, thus the lazy outfit, but posting nonetheless for the lulz. Yay for fashionable friends like Sam. He does vocals for a rock band - does it show?

Christa’s been to China and Hong Kong a number of times, and you just know that she’s influenced by the kind of fashion they have there.
Look at all those purdy details.
I wish more people in this country wore boots. It isn’t hot all the time anyway. Much love to in-between weather.

More Judo people. You might’ve seen Patty somewhere before, since she does quite a bit of modeling here and there. Cute dimples!
It looks like candy, or a bouquet of flowers.
White sneakers that aren’t so white anymore. You’d know if someone went to Ateneo judging by the look of his/her shoes. But we all still love to wear them everyday anyway! :)
The outfit: long-sleeved shirt from Topman, shorts from ukay ukay, black sneakers, backpack from Lacoste Personal style: weird - laidback but stylish Lots of jeans in his closet. I forgot to take his portrait. /cry
Paulo’s also in the judo team with Isa and Patty, and that first photo of him is a dream. His friends were making side comments while he was trying his best to keep a straight face for the picture. Ended up not using the serious photos, because I’m partial to shots like this.
Was on stylist-mode last Sunday. Did a Barbie-inspired series with friend and prolific Filipino photographer Jay Tablante, 16-year-old half-Filipino half-Australian model Pearl Kellie (whom I have styled for the second time already - first time here) and make-up artist Ines Lobregat.
These pictures make me want to get my hands on my own ringflash!

Bumped into some judo varsity people before my class at Bellarmine! Patty and Paulo’s photos to follow. They were all so cute! Their judo seniors/masters were watching them pose for pictures from afar, and I could see how close they all were just by hearing all the little sidecomments and the hearty giggling.

Third person from Information Design shot in the same day. It’s not a surprise that the Fine Arts students of the Ateneo have impeccable taste in fashion. /biased :)
"I’m all sweaty! Eww!" - Kris
Not a lot of people look this gorgeous when they’re sweaty. :)
We had to design press kits for our Advanced Graphic Design class last semester, and Kris’ press kit had this sort of vibe to it. *points to photo above*
It’s so fresh to see old-fashioned high-waisted shorts nowadays. And what’s nicer is pairing them with a nice cropped top, and going to school in something this conspicuous!
Flats are a staple, especially in this university - I tried wearing heels before, and I almost died.
The outfit: shoes from SM department store, shorts from Topshop, top from a bazaar, accessories from H&M, SM and some she made herself, belt from grandma Personal style: moody There are a lot of shorts in her closet. Influences/icons: Kristine Caguiat, Pat Angeles, Sixsixsick Favorite brands: H&M, ukay ukay Preparation time: forever! Hang-outs: anywhere!
"We’re so short!" - Pat and Kris
"But you guys are so cute anyway!" - Tricia
Being petite does not hinder Pat from standing out. I know a lot of exceptional people who are vertically-challenged, including one of my best friends Crissey who stands at 4’11” 3/4 (although she’d tell you that she’s 5 flat, or even taller), and my own mom who stands at 5’1”.
The outfit: shirt from Zara, dark blue vest from Uniqlo, jeans from Lee, sandals from Ipanema Personal style: comfy and classic There are a lot of cutesy stuff in her closet. Favorite brand: Zara Preparation time: 10 minutes Hang-outs: Katipunan, Greenhills
Kim is one of my good friends from my block, and she pretty much has possession of all the cute things in the world. <3 She bought this extremely adorable rainbow necklace from her recent trip to China, and she was also so sweet to bring back a nice silver camera necklace as a gift for me. Love her!
My blockmates and I got addicted to these gashapons at one point in time. We’d collect them in different colors, and even trade (or bribe, lol) if we didn’t get the ones we wanted. Unusually expensive (but fleeting) addiction.
Kim and I went to Toy Town a few weeks ago, and got ourselves Disney rainboot gashapons. We wanted the Minnie and Marie ones - but got Mickey and Donald instead. /cry
A photo of us together. I’m wearing a ruffle top from Zara, and skinny jeans from Topshop. The weather was horrible that day - shooting in the rain and stepping on puddles did not appeal to me at all.
I could live in my Topshop jeans for days… but, eww. :)
The outfit: shoes from Nike, shorts from Quiksilver, shirt from Topman Personal style: flashy There are a lot of colorful stuff in his closet. Influences/icons: One Tree Hill characters! Favorite brands: Nike, Adidas, Billabong, Quiksilver, Bench, Penshoppe Preparation time: already planned the night before Hang-outs: Ateneo, Eastwood, malls
I usually see boys in the university wearing this sort of get-up - graphic tee + checkered shorts + some eye-catching footwear. I could see Josh’s shoes from a mile away. They’re so neon!
Wearing: clothes from her sister’s closet Personal style: anything she feels like wearing There are a lot of clothes, colors, and cut-up clothes in her closet. Influence/icon: Kate Moss Favorite brand: Topshop Preparation time: 30 minutes to an hour Hang-outs: (in school) caf and the CADS room
SQUEE. Too cute for words! I saw her on my way to the cafeteria, and being partial to anything high-waisted, I found myself hurriedly tapping her shoulder (before she got away) and asking her for some photographs. And her belt - it was the most awesome thing I saw that day.
I wonder if people get conscious when I take photos of their feet.
Jesse “Reflex” Castillo, 20, IV BFA Art Management
His style, in a nutshell, is hiphop. There are a lot of badass gear in his closet. Influences/icons: hiphop culture Favorite brands: Converse, Nike, Pony, Jag, Chino, Padocks, Tribal Gear Preparation time: 10 minutes Hang-outs: (in school) caf, CADS room
Jess used to have incredibly long and shiny hair, until everyone from FA constantly egged him to cut it. Eventually, he gave in - leaving that one single piece at the back. We jokingly associate it with having some sort of Samson-like powaaah.
I have yet to find other students in Ateneo who have this sort of fashion.
The outfit: flats from Keds, dress from Ocean Drive bought in the US Her style, in a nutshell, varies from simple to rocker get-ups. There are a lot of colorful stuff in her closet. Favorite brands: Vans, Diesel, Converse, Hot Topic Preparation time: 10 minutes to an hour - special events call for more time Hang-outs: malls, gigs and at home
Her hair stood out in the middle of the Zen garden - I could not NOT take her picture. Turned out she just graduated from the same high school where I came from (hello to all the Pasig Paulinians who are reblogging this - I graduated from there 2006). I wish I looked this awesome when I was freshman. I remember going to school with no make-up, bed hair, in my brother’s t-shirts, simple shorts and dirty Converse sneakers.
The outfit: off-shoulder top and denim shorts from Zara Her style, in a nutshell, is simple, but clean and girly. There are a lot of tops in her closet. Influences/icons: Rachel Zoe Favorite brands: Zara, Mango, Topshop Preparation time: 1 hour Hang-outs: The Fort, Rockwell
With her modelesque stature, pretty much anything looks good on Rach. I had HI166 class with her before, and (this might sound creepy - but I have so many girlcrushes that IDK anymore) even then I always admired how she carried herself in her clothes. And on a semi-related note, I would really like to steal her hair - it’s so shinyyy. *u*
The outfit: dress from Bangkok, shoes from Rustan’s, bag from ukay ukay Her style, in a nutshell, is feminine with something off. There are a lot of DIY stuff in her closet. Influences/icons: Alexa Chung, Kate Moss Favorite brands: Topshop, Zara, ukay ukay Preparation time: 10 to 20 minutes Hang-outs: High Street, Rockwell, Katipunan
First entry. Posting the photos I took for Saturday’s Philippine Daily Inquirer. Thanks to Stef for giving this lazy ass some work.
Pau has an effortless boho aura that not a lot of people can emulate. She’s naturally beautiful, and I know for a fact that she’s an artistic genius. Of course this sort of genius transcends even to her sense of fashion, which is always eye candy. <3
