Dresses such as this one have to be in every girl’s closet! This particular LBD is a definite favorite as the loose silhouette and the simple bottom detail are so me (and so Blair). Paired with my darker hair color and matte red lipstick, it could easily pass off as something inspired by the 20s, maybe?
I love how it’s both sophisticated and cute, and very, very versatile. I mean, you could pair it with some ballet flats and a big lazy hair bun on a casual day and it could still work. Pair it with combat boots or booties and a layered cross necklace and you could totally get the whole goth chick look down pat.
The accessories for this particular outfit made all the difference in the world. While I would normally wear my favorite pearls with this one, I decided to go bolder with some emerald green, gold and maroon accents on my jewelry, as well with some killer studs on my clutch.
I don’t know if you can see it clearly in these photos, but I was in such a matchy-matchy mood that I even wore green-ish circle lenses to match my earrings!
"My Own Fashion Week" continues on its second day with a classic little black dress from My Spring Fling. The embellishments on the shoulders are a good alternative to neck jewelry, if you feel like only wearing arm candies for a cocktail event or a hot date!
It’s so easy to go over-the-top given the formal nature of the dress, but the length (thankfully not too short!) makes it casual enough to try pair with more relaxed elements. Pair this little black dress with clean eye make-up (recently I’ve only been wearing a thin winged liner and mascara) , wavy hair, trusty fits-with-everything black pumps and a simple silver clutch for an understated elegance.
Hope you guys are enjoying the concept so far! Maybe after the second MOFW, everyone (including myself) can get used to this. Looking forward to tomorrow’s post!
