Biker vests are so underrated, when they are absolutely perfect for our tropical climate. Leather jackets can be a little extreme for us here in Manila, but biker vests can do just the same badass job of making you look, well, badass. But no armpits sweating like waterfalls here, lol.
I balanced out the whole look by adding more feminine elements like curly hair, bright lipstick and this denim mini which takes me all the way back to high school when I used to collect this style in different colors!
Count on Aeropostale’s latest collection to give you a wide variety of styles and colors to choose from! Compared to their SS collection, the current FW collection features more vibrant holiday colors that’s sure to stay in your closet for a long, long time. I personally love the rich blue hues that they’re selling now, but the burgundy and military green items are also strongly calling out to me! You can check this post out if you’re curious!
Follow Aeropostale’s Facebook and Twitter, and use the hashtag #AeropostaleMNL if you’re tweeting about them! The new store can be found at Shangri-La Plaza East Wing Mid-Level 2/3 near TWG. Drop by today if you’re in the area!
Aeropostale opened another store last weekend! They’re taking over so fast! I managed to visit the store on opening day, and it wasn’t hard to find at all, with the same eye-catching New York loft feel that people fell in love with when the New Glorietta and Robinsons Magnolia stores opened.
So many new arrivals for fall/winter! I loved the whole color blocking and tropical trend they did last season, but you guys all know how partial I am to more subtle colors. Before shopping, I took a ton of photos of some new items you might be interested in.
Leopard print backpack. You can get 2 for the price of 1!
Kids nowadays are lucky because they have quirkier, more stylish options for school bags now. I never had anything remotely close to this when I was younger!
For the love of dogs. They’re also selling this jacket in green camo print, and the bodycon skirt in a pink/beige hue.
Aero staples - floral prints, denim and basics.
I got this gradient top in blue!
I also bought these sneakers! Super cute because of the thick soles that are so trendy right now.
Red camo print bag for the boys!
Stars and stripes on sunglasses. The black and white stripey ones are sure to be best sellers.
Ripped denim. Also a huge trend right now.
The highlight of my short visit to this store. I didn’t know they sold these pretty watches until now! Comes in gold, rose gold and silver.
The perfect watch for those who love to stack arm candy!
Trendy mirrored sunglasses can also be found here.
How cute are the pastel ones on the left?!

Was thisclose to buying this A cap. Very Atenean of me!
Remember these pants? They printed the pattern on nail stickers!

Perfect grunge jeans for the ’90s style revival going on recently.
Mad for plaid.
The new collection includes boots, and these maroon ones are definitely must-haves. Grab a pair before they run out of stocks!

Loungewear and sporty fashion! The pink sweater looks super comfy!
The cutest printed ankle socks.
Lots of denim, red, blue and gray for the men’s collection. Suddenly miss my brother who’s in the US now because this reminds me his style.
Philippine All Stars! They were having a pretty cool dance battle outside the store. Dancing is one of my biggest frustrations as I can’t dance to save my life. I love watching other people dance though!
Me and my giant paper bag of Aeropostale goodies. Watch out for my outfit post soon.
Aeropostale officially launched in Manila with a giant music and fashion party called Aero Jam where local bands like Never the Strangers, She’s Only Sixteen, and Up Dharma Down played as people enjoyed Aeropostale’s new summer collection.
It was a big event held in the middle of Glorietta’s New Activity Center, and it was super fun as there were booths for popcorn, ice cream, etc. that were very reminiscent of the high school fairs I used to always look forward to, some 10 years ago, lol.
The models were all having so much fun on stage - such a delight to see the clothes moving along with them as they twirled around and danced like there was no tomorrow. They also got some student ambassadors from different high schools and universities to walk the runway. Cool! One of them turned out to be my mom’s friend’s daughter too!
Snapped a ton of photos so you can see all the pretty denim pieces, neons and floral prints that’s sure to find their way into every student’s wardrobe.
The host (also my girl crush) Joyce Pring wearing Aeropostale as well! I always love her hair.
One of the biggest bands in the country, Up Dharma Down.
Same course! Ateneo BFA Information Design kids! Deej on the left is still studying while Jonty and Edric (now working for Esquire) are a batch lower than me. It’s always nice to bump into familiar faces in events!
All wearing Aeropostale tees!
Also bumped into Ericka and James after such a long time.
And then Krissy, Alexander and Alexa joined in! I can’t with their ages! I feel so old!
Highlight of the night was bumping into fellow bloggers David and Lissa! Also bumped into Vern!
Photo of our coincidentally-matchy colorful outfits. My top and pants are both Aeropostale! I loved them so much I got the same style top in black and white, and the pants in pink and gray.
The first Aeropostale store in Manila opened Glorietta 2 last June 15th. Follow Aeropostale’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and use the hashtag #AeropostaleMNL if you’re tweeting about them! Spread the Aero love.
Last Saturday (June 15) was a happy day for a lot of Filipino teenagers! Aeropostale finally opened its doors for the first time in Manila, with their flagship store located at the ground floor of Glorietta.
If this store already existed back when I was in college, I would’ve bought all my everyday basics from here! All of Aero’s prices are incredibly affordable, making it a very friendly and reachable brand for the student market!
I went to the store opening and found that this new concept store is divided into unique zones that gives off that cool New York loft feel—
1) Entry and Fashion rooms, where customers can view the latest fashion collection
2) Swing room for different selection of jeans and denim pieces
3) Heritage room for the logo classic and graphic tees and hoodies
4) Girls room for a great selection of underwear, yoga and dorm items
Here are some pictures that I hope can do the clothes and interiors justice!
Mars Miranda was spinning!
Motivational words on mini chalkboards. Suddenly, I want this kind of theme for my own room too.
It’s more fun in the Philippines now that you can go shopping at Aeropostale!
Tropical-print coin purses and sunglasses for those hot, summer days.
Straw hat with the cutest rainbow colors!
The mannequins by the entrance. Perfect outfits for school, yes?
Floral pants overload! There were so many different kinds being sold in the store, but this print was my most favorite. Ended up getting myself one of these, hohoho
Adorable lace denim shorts!
Tropical print caps!
More tropical print! And you guys know how much I love tropical print. <3
They were also selling nail polish and other beauty products like lip gloss.
Limited edition Aeropostale x Manila tees! They gave this out for free, to the first 87 (since the store first opened 1987) customers. AHH, too bad I wasn’t able to get one! There was already a long queue to go inside when I arrived.
Colorful flip-flops for lazy days!
Accessories at the Girls room by the fitting rooms.
Cute undies and perfume.
I wish they sold this in women’s sizes because I am absolutely in love with the print! Maybe I’ll get one for my boyfriend or brothers instead!
Because shorts are a staple for all teenage boys in Manila, here are some super bright-colored ones that can spice up even the plainest tees.
Found a wood-ish pair of sunnies which I’m pretty sure will be sold-out in no time! Too cute!
Swing room where you can find a wide selection of jeans in different cuts and washes.
And then I bumped into some style ambassadors who were mostly high school and college students. Notice that the guy is wearing the short-sleeved polo that I really like, lol.
It was so cool that they were wearing head-to-toe Aeropostale and were mingling with the people who were in line to buy stuff. They pulled it all off so well that it made you want to get what they wearing!
Neon pink crochet? Now that’s new!
The long line at the cashier. Aeropostale was having a Buy 1 Take 1 promo for a lot of graphic tees and tank tops so people were going crazy hoarding everythiiing! Couldn’t blame them because everything was so affordable that the only logical choice was to buy!
I braved the line to get some stuff for myself too. As of this writing, I am on my way to the Aeropostale grand launch called Aero Jam at the New Glorietta Activity Center. I wanted to attend the event wearing the brand so here’s what I came up with:
(Aeropostale top and pants, EMODA bag, DAS wedges) Hype this look on Lookbook here.
Fighting off the gloomy rain with a rainbow-colored outfit! Paired stripes and florals for a trendy, pattern-on-pattern look.
