Finally found the perfect crop top that has a high neck and long sleeves! Call me modest, but I generally prefer to keep skin-baring to a minimum. I’m usually already all legs so I always balance it out by wearing more conservative tops (i.e. my favorite button-downs and sweaters).
I count showing my face as skin-baring too, so…
Yes. I need more cloth on my body.
That moment when black and bright tropical prints surprisingly work well together. Apartment 8’s been slowly teasing us with their spring/summer collection on their Instagram, and I’m glad I was able to get first dibs on these new designs. The top is wonderful yet it disables you from making big movements, lol. Makes you seem super demure in the process.
So sorry if I haven’t been posting much recently. My boyfriend gave me a copy of Bravely Default on 3DS for Valentines, and it’s slowly taking over my life.
See you all at my book signing in Assumption College (AC) tomorrow! Expect some gaming-induced eyebags.
I bumped into most fabulous sets of sisters at Apartment 8 when I paid the newly renovated atelier a visit! This was all very unplanned. I guess it was everyone’s off day that day!
Obligatory group photo. Spot the not! One of these girls does not have a sister! I just realized that most of my blogger friends have sisters! I’m probably the only one that grew up in a mostly-male household.
And I’m also like 4-5 years older than these girls. HUU WHY
New accessories! I wanted to take everything home.
Twins Danah and Stacy of The Plump Pinay.
Verniece and Vern! Not twins but they definitely look like it!
Haute Lifestyle gowns! These might look familiar, especially if you follow local celebrities’ Instagrams.
Last year, I had a dress made for me because I have a serious lack of formal clothes in my closet. Check it out here! If you still don’t have any ideas for a prom dress, feel free to have a similar dress made by Haute Lifestyle!
Bea, hard at work.
Pat (Welcome back to Apartment 8!) and Ernest looking more than happy with their new office desks!
In the showroom, there’s this wonderful walk-in closet of sorts where you can view all of their latest designs and some of their most iconic pieces. Can I live here forever?
You can find them at 33B Scout Borromeo, South Triangle, Quezon City! Near Il Terazzo.
Every year I have that one magical dress that I declare my Christmas dress. I went for black and gold last year, and this year, I’m sticking to classic Christmas rose red but skipping the gold accessories for some unpredictable white crystals, sterling silver and mother of pearl instead. I swear Morellato always comes out with the most convenient jewelry sets, and this one is no exception. Similar items are placed together in the store, making it so easy to visualize the combination and pick a complete set out.
The consecutive Christmas gatherings these past few days are slowly exhausting me - I had to take a 10 minute power nap before writing this just so I could produce anything that’s remotely close to cohesive - but the fact that it’s my most favorite time of the year is resonating too strongly. The body is weak but the spirit is willing. Thanks to what I’m wearing, at least it doesn’t seem too obvious.
Follow Morellato Philippines on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Visit Morellato at SM North The BLOCK, Shangri-la Mall New Wing, SM City Clark, Abreeza Mall Davao, Ayala Center Cebu, Landmark Trinoma, Veranza KCC Mall Gensan and soon SM Mega Mall Building D.
Constantly wearing simple and modern outfits made me miss my old retro-girly style a little, so here’s a quirky twist to that classic vintage look we love, all thanks to my new gray polkadot sweater from Gap. I wore it with a midi skirt for an all-out ’50s feel. God knows when I last wore polkadots, and we all know that it’s been a very long time. I think I’m starting to grow fond of them again!
This is only the first out of three outfits I created for Gap’s global Styld.by campaign. Can’t wait to show you the remaining two!
I just realized that I haven’t once written about any of Apartment 8’s stores, and I’ve already been consistently blogging about their clothes for more than a year now. Better late than never!
I’m so proud of this brand and how big it has become since it first launched last year. I can’t help but feel a little bit sentimental when I talk about them because I’ve seen them grow from the start and evolve so fast like a proud momma.
Their new Tiendesitas store marks yet another milestone for them, as is every time they open a physical store somewhere.
I visited the store on the same day as their opening. I live in the area and this store is now officially the nearest Apartment 8 from my house. Though I’m pretty sure that this still won’t stop me from always passing by their space in The Ramp Crossings in Shang…
Their iconic crop tops in different colors, as well as their newest printed leggings.
Items that may seem very familiar if you follow a lot of celebrities on Instagram! Their stylists always pull out clothes from Apartment 8, and you can’t really blame them because the brand really does offer a wide variety of modern styles to choose from. They also have clothes for both the conservative and daring, making them such a perfect brand for everybody.
I spot myself!
Best-selling printed bottoms mixed with some new arrivals. The tropical print ones are definitely a must-have this season and the next.
Sexy dresses for all occasions. The one in the middle is such an ideal beach cover-up!
I call this necklace “Caroline’s pearls”. (Caroline from 2 Broke Girls)
Basic tops to go with your printed bottoms.
Get these scalloped-hem shorts before they run out of stocks! It’s so hard to find really good quality scalloped hem shorts, and so far, Apartment 8 offers the most well-made ones!
An outfit that I styled using items from their Tiendesitas store. Pair with a black bowler hat and black boots for a cool holiday vibe, or wear with ballet flats and a cute headband for a more relaxed girly feel.
Photos from Apartment 8’s recent collection. Lots of plain tops paired with fancy bottoms!
And lots of prints in general. Here’s one from a best-selling bodycon dress.
Embossed fabric is such a subtle way to spice plain dresses up.
Achieve an instantly sexy look with an animal-print skirt or dress. I’ve seen this print from their older collections before and I’ve always loved how it’s not flat-out leopard-print all the way.
Black and white is always a good choice for bottoms. This was taken from one of their newest high-slit pencil skirts.
Obsessed with this flower print on the ceiling!
Naturally, Apartment 8 had the most customers in the whole building. If you still need to ask why, then you probably need some more convincing! You can check out their Official Website, Facebook and Instagram for more information and lots of pretty pictures of people wearing their pretty clothes.
