Ultra cute and sparkly Christmas flats? Count me in! More often than not, I’d rather accessorize with sewn-in bling rather than pile a ton of accessories on top of each other. I always try my best to look as chic as possible using the least number of items. Seems like age has really turned me into a practical dresser!
I opted for Le Bunny Bleu’s Sina flats to a whole day of errands and meetings, and to a night out with Rg as we celebrated our 3rd anniversary together! The lack of heels make it casual enough for daytime use, while the presence of embellishments make it dressy enough for a date. If you’re looking for the perfect sophisticute (sophisticated and cute) pair of flats for everyday use, this is it! It also comes in brown/beige if you prefer something lighter that can also suit your spring/summer wardrobe.
There is an on-going sale for those who want first dibs on stocks and sizes (best to go today before people go crazy), but starting tomorrow, January 27, the entire fall/winter collection (examples here) will be 50% off!
This includes all their flats (including the ones I’m wearing here), sneakers, and boots. Time to stock up on these romantic vintage shoes that many K-pop stars love (examples here)! Totally eyeing the Viola loafers, thanks to a photo of a Crayon Pop member wearing them, so I’ll definitely drop by the store during the sale! See you there!
Visit them at 5th floor Bridgeway, East Wing Shangri-la Plaza (654-2599) and 2nd floor Glorietta 5 (955-7225).
While the rest of the world is freezing and most flowers are far from full bloom, I’m getting ahead of the season by wearing these dainty floral dresses instead of the usual F/W prints you’ve been seeing me in. Just G’s dresses are always so on point that I get one from every collection, except this time I managed to score two great finds that I know I can use and abuse once the temperature starts rising again.
The first dress actually has boning sewn into it for a not-necessary-but-always-appreciated slimming effect! This dress will definitely fly off the racks fast so best to head to any Just G store near you before stocks run out! So flattering I just want to wear it forever.
Just G boutique stores can be found in SM Megamall, Market Market, Sta. Lucia, SM Southmall, Eastwood City, SM North Edsa, SM Manila and SM Cebu. Just G and Gingersnaps share spaces at Shangri-la, Rockwell, Robinsons Metroeast, SM Baguio and SM Pampanga. They also have department store corners at SM Megamall, Robinsons Galleria, Landmark Trinoma, SM Makati, SM Mall of Asia, Robinsons Festival Mall, SM North Edsa, SM Cubao, SM Pampanga, SM Southmall and Robinsons Ermita.
Last Monday, Lacoste celebrate its 80th anniversary in Manila with a unique brand experience roadshow slash art-fashion-photography exhibit. I rarely attend parties, but count me in if there’s going to be art and eye candy!
The roadshow was only on display last January 10-14, but it’s already going to be the last day tomorrow (the 16th) at the Shangri-la Plaza’s East Wing Atrium. I’m crossing my fingers that these photos will inspire you to check it out before it’s totally gone.
The concept includes three cubes/areas filled with both moving and still images and objects, from the brand archives dating back to the invention of the polo shirt and founding of the brand in 1933 by tennis champion René Lacoste.
Here is what it looked like from above.
Visions and Expressions’ Ginggay dela Merced and Stores Specialists Inc.’s Malu Francisco rocking their own Lacoste polo shirts! I particularly love how they chose bold, bright colors that match their personalities!
I also wore gray but Martha pulled off a much sexier concept!
Hosts Bianca Valerio, Tessa Prieto Valdes and David Celdran each introduced the three cubes as if they were touring us around an art gallery!
The hosts got first dibs on the new Peter Saville x Lacoste collection which was also launched on the same night inside the store… which is supposed to be the first Agora concept store in Manila.
With fellow personal style blogger Robbie Becroft who put a more rugged, outdoorsy feel to his classic polo.
As usual, I went the super simple, comfortable and minimalist route.
In the first cube was a carefully curated collection of Lacoste and Lacoste Live polos over the years.
Clever crocodile placement.
The second cube is my favorite cube. The Crocodile Room features the various shapes and sizes, colors and contexts that the iconic crocodile logo has adopted and adapted to through the years.
Crocodilus phantasia, y so kawaii
Obsessed with this gold crocodile.
Yummy muted colors.
Along the walls is a timeline highlighting the important dates and milestones in the brand history.
The third cube features images from the brand archives. This includes René Lacoste and photos from his time, past Lacoste campaigns…
…and these interesting sketches put beside images of runway models wearing Lacoste.
Would wear this dress in a heartbeat!
Anyhow, I’m not going to post everything here to avoid giving too much of the roadshow away, so please check it out on its last day tomorrow, especially if you’re in the area!

Perks of living in a tropical country - summer clothes all year round! Just G has always been that one brand I like that doesn’t strictly follow all the seasons, so it’s always a breath of fresh air to go into their store in December and not find heavy outerwear or dark colors. Their latest collection features a lot of coral hues and cool blues which are perfect for casual day dressing.
I don’t always go out wearing fancy clothes the whole day. I usually wear simple and comfortable outfits like these whenever I have to go on a quick coffee run or do errands at the bank, grocery shopping, store pull-outs, etc. I do try to put in a little bit of effort every time though, like how I paired my romper with a jacket and my printed tee with a floral skirt in the first two looks to avoid looking too sloppy or lazy, and how I played with different patterns in the last one because I felt like I need to do something with my outfit if I didn’t want to wear fancy shoes and accessories!
Awesome news this Christmas season - a new Lacoste and Lacoste L!ve store just opened last December 14 at the new East Wing of Shang! You can’t miss it as it’s right by TWG and that spacious area in the 2nd floor.
I dropped by yesterday only to check it out and take pictures of all the pretty, but ended up awed at how people were going in and out of the store buying so many things for themselves and their families! It was so cute every time a family would go in - all the younger ones would go straight to the Lacoste L!ve racks!
Lacoste and Lacoste L!ve share one giant space in the new Shang wing.
Featuring the latest F/W collection. Look at all that rich red hues and striped patterns.
Don’t know if I prefer the outfit on the left or on the right! The button-down on the right is something I’d totally wear if it only came in my size!
Interesting pattern on these sneakers!
Classic striped nautical dress with the iconic crocodile in white, not green!
Yup, I’m definitely part of it.
Giant croc on one of the men’s jackets.
I blogged about the Tezuka collaboration before, and good news - there are still stocks available! Best to check it out soon before it’s totally gone!
The Osamu Tezuka x Lacoste L!ve items also come in special limited edition plastic packaging.
It was one of those moments when I wished I were a boy, lol.
Patterns everywhere in the latest collection. Here’s a gray snake pattern that you can pair with any bottom! I’d wear this with a bright red skirt or some high-waisted denim pants.
Red and green plaid. You can’t get any more Christmas-y than this.
Bleach on denim effect.
My favorite part of the Lacoste L!ve space was the shoe section! These are all my kind of colors.
Mustard version of the maroon platform sneakers I wore in a previous Lacoste L!ve post. It also comes in navy!
Orange and red details.
I know these would just get dirty but I’m in love with this kind of blue! Too cute.
Cartoon version of the Lacoste crocodile in gold glitter.
Red and gold. I should get myself (and probably 3 more for each of my brothers) one of these to wear to casual birthday lunch parties with my Chinese relatives.
Denim polo + red crocodile.
The Lacoste L!ve space from afar. My closet is also arranged by color but why doesn’t it look this neat, lol
Branded Lacoste L!ve hangers and contrast color collars. Thinking if I should get the dark red or dark green one for my boyfriend after Christmas. I’ll have to wait until after Christmas because clothes are like my default gifts to him and he probably thinks that I’ll give him clothes again this coming 25th, hahaha
I always blatantly talk about him here in my blog because he doesn’t have time to read it with the kind of work that he does, and could probably care less about fashion. Which for me is funny and charming yiiiii
Not only does Lacoste L!ve specialize in patterned shirts, but they also pay extra attention to collar details! Remember that shirt in my last post with the little hearts? Yup, there are more quirky collars in their latest collection.
Like this one! So classy yet so fun! I’d totally wear this polo shirt with a black leather skirt and a pair of pointy white pumps.
Don’t forget to check it out if you’re in the area! I’m really happy that Lacoste L!ve is so visible now because they really have good-quality stylish but classic clothes and I wish more people would wear them.
In the Philippines, Lacoste L!VE is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at New Glorietta & Rustan’s Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
(On me: Mango top, shorts, jacket and heels; On Chase and Juju: H.E. by Mango shirts, jackets and tie)
I may not have sisters to share clothes, shoes and make-up with, but I’ve got brothers who are willing to do all sorts of shenanigans with me, including participating and dressing up for this blog entry! Good thing they’ve never been fashion and camera averse so it wasn’t hard for me to invite them.
My eldest twin brothers Chase (long hair) and Juju (short hair) have always had impeccable taste in fashion. If I were male, I’d probably want to dress just like them. Likewise, I’m proud to say that they trust my taste in fashion as well! They always wear the clothes I buy for them, and this says a lot because like me, they are quite picky with their clothes! They’ve always had very distinct personal styles.
After my boyfriend Rg posed for some photos with me last summer (see here) and after accidentally stumbling upon an article on the Kardashian’s annual Christmas cards (lol), I figured it would be cool to include my own siblings (save for our youngest, Calel, who is working in the US right now and won’t be able to join us for Christmas for the first time ever, huhu) in one of my holiday-themed shoots.
This time, however, the styling part was rather challenging because Chase and Juju are only a size bigger than me. Styling Rg last summer was a breeze because he is 5’10” and possesses a body type that fits Western brands perfectly (he literally fits size M in all brands, making it so easy to buy him clothes… only he is not interested in fashion, lol). My brothers, however, can give my legs (and most girls’) a run for their money.
Recently, I discovered that H.E. by Mango offers clothing in extra small sizes now! Don’t let the tall and buff mannequins discourage your skinny brothers and boyfriends from going into the store. The button-downs and jackets they are wearing here are size XXS and “Asian Fit”. Talk about awesome! It’s about time!
How do you like our family fashion? Can you tell that I was somewhat inspired by Gossip Girl?
All the items that I am wearing are part of latest F/W collection which are all on sale right now until the end of January. Get up to 50% discount on all items for all Mango concepts including MANGO, H.E. by MANGO, MANGO Touch and the newest concepts, MANGO Kids and MANGO Sport & Intimates.
