I was greeted by a giant orange box of Coach goodies as soon as I got back in Manila, and I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to cap off my glorious trip to America than to wear an iconic brand that I’ve always been a fan of. I can’t remember how many times my mom and I muttered audible oohs and aahs whenever we passed by a Coach store in New York. Too much pretty. Karlie Kloss and Liu Wen make all their clothes, shoes and luxury bags look so covetable too.
My mom and I already share 3 existing Coach bags at the moment, and I think that it would never, ever hurt to add another one to the collection. As a practical dresser, I am especially grateful for this boxy black bag from their latest Holiday 2013 collection because it can fit everything! I tend to stuff a lot of random things in my bags so I always prefer functional designs.
On the other hand, I picked the sweater out simply for the lovely turtleneck, the skirt for the bright Christmas color that perfectly matched my red hair and our Christmas tree, and the shoes for the pointy toes and those fabulous, understated gold details on the heels. Less is more, especially when the quality is this good.
This is the last but definitely not the least Gap outfit I created for their global Styld.by campaign. I’m pretty sure I’ve worn something similar in the past with the striped sweater and high-waist skirt combination as it is quite typical Tricia, but I mixed this pink and blue plaid shirt in for that fun element that my everyday outfits seem to lack (I openly admit to being a very practical, no-fuss dresser!).
This is the second out of three outfits I created for Gap’s global Styld.by campaign! I went into the Gap store at BHS to check the latest collection out, and I must say that this jacket spoke to me so strongly that my day was pretty much made by the mere sight of it. I can’t think of any other place that sells something remotely similar. I knew I had to have it as soon as I laid my eyes on it, and when I did, I needed to make it the highlight of my outfit instead of just an add-on. So much love.
There is never enough red for me nowadays! After braving the transition from blonde/brown to red/red-violet dye, I really feel certain that my sudden obsession with the color has a deeper morning to it, rather than it just being a shallow and fleeting fancy. 2013 is definitely my year of major change and adjustment, and changing hairstyles only marks the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I attended a much-needed recollection/retreat a day before my birthday, and it made me realize how silly I’ve been, stressing over issues that I can’t change and being paralyzed by the fear of not being able to get it all together once I reach a particular age.
I was asked to reflect upon two things - the first was my best 2013 moment, and the second was my most difficult challenge. And I had the same answer for both. It was the idea of growing up, which eventually turned into the acceptance of it. This most fulfilling moment was strangely also my most challenging moment, and it made all the sense in the world. Overcoming major hurdles, realizing things you’ve never had to think about before, and understanding your place in the world little by little, even when life gets hard, are all factors in making a moment truly great and wonderful. Well, at least for me. I don’t think I would’ve been able to say these things if I turned all weird and acted like a teenager forever.
Turning a quarter of a century old? I used to dread it but now I love it. I used to think that 20-21 is a good age to be stuck in forever, but… no. 25 is the age to be.
Anyhow, this is more or less the kind of story that Morellato is always on the lookout for. Every month, they have giveaways (from gift certificates to actual watches and products) that ask for inspiring stories. Last October, they asked for stories about special family bonding moments, and when and how you put a smile on someone’s face. This month, it was about how you are able to effectively manage your time. For December, it’s time to tell them about your wedding story! Click here to join! Deadline of entries is on December 6th!

Mango’s recent lookbook features forest prints, but it is far from your ordinary nature-inspired collection. Let’s leave the dainty florals and pastel hues for spring/summer, and celebrate Mango’s darker themes for fall/winter…
…along with Catching Fire. I’ve never read the books but watching the movie has strongly encouraged me to do so. I must say I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much if it weren’t for Johanna and Finnick!
I feel like I’ve never been more drawn to forest fashion until I saw the recent Hunger Games movie and these two printed tops from Mango’s latest collection.
Doesn’t this print on this top remind you of the lightning tree in the movie?
I’m all for wearing art on my clothes, and I love how this looks liks an elegant painting. The orange bits make it look like the forest is on fire too!
Constantly wearing simple and modern outfits made me miss my old retro-girly style a little, so here’s a quirky twist to that classic vintage look we love, all thanks to my new gray polkadot sweater from Gap. I wore it with a midi skirt for an all-out ’50s feel. God knows when I last wore polkadots, and we all know that it’s been a very long time. I think I’m starting to grow fond of them again!
This is only the first out of three outfits I created for Gap’s global Styld.by campaign. Can’t wait to show you the remaining two!
Sharing the newest F/W collection of Le Bunny Bleu because it is absolute shoe porn! As I often mention, I’m generally biased towards F/W collections, and this one is not an exception. The amount of holiday colors in this collection is making my fangirl heart beat so fast!
Everything is classy and perfect for everyday use, and you can even own a limited edition Winter Notebook with Crissey's work on the cover if you buy a pair any time soon. Her signature cutesy illustrations are also all over the stores so it makes shopping in Le Bunny Bleu even more enjoyable. Proud BFF moment! I'm Crissey's #1 fan… but you guys all know that already! <3
You can choose which cover to get if you buy a pair from the latest collection. My (obvious) favorite would have to be the girl with roses on her hair! Which Le Bunny Bleu girl is your favorite?
Oxfords that would look great with skater skirts!
I got these spiked zebra ones for myself!
They also recently came out with a new Le Bunny Bleu kids line! I’d totally want to wear matching shoes with my future daughter!
Perfect flats to go with your favorite skinny pants.
High boots for when the weather gets cooler in January/February!
Want the left one so bad!!! The shade of red looks delicious.
For all you pointy toe lovers!
The quintessential Trissey design. I don’t know if we can ever get over sparkly, girly bows!
Wanted to get these too but I have too many oxfords, I think D:
Hope you guys enjoyed that little tour around the Le Bunny Bleu flagship store in Shangri-la East Wing! If you haven’t seen my first post about them yet, you can check it out here. I mentioned that a lot of K-pop stars wear Le Bunny Bleu so you should definitely check the brand out if you’re a fan of K-everything! Crissey is also giving away some notebooks here.
They are having a special ONE DAY SALE tomorrow, November 23. PERFECT TIME TO SHOP FOR YOUR VERY OWN LE BUNNY BLEU SHOES! Enjoy!
It hasn’t been long since I got back from my 3 week vacation in the US, and I’m already itching to fly out again. There are still so many things I want to see in this world, and I feel like *now*, especially with my 25th birthday coming up this weekend, is the perfect time to satisfy my intense wanderlust.
My recent trip, however, was quite a challenge. My long haul packing skills have turned rusty over the years! It’s so easy to fly in and out of Asia nowadays, and with all these affordable, short haul flights, you can wear different outfits without having to re-use a single item, especially if your trip is only about 3-5 days.
It all becomes complicated when you need to pack 3 weeks worth of clothes for varying degrees of cold weather (lowest was -3 C, highest was about 23 C), and still have enough space in your luggage for any additional purchases along the way. And don’t forget - flights from Manila to the US can take so long. I recently saw someone change to pajamas inside the plane. Can’t blame him. I’d do it too, in an ideal world where I’m even less self-conscious than I already am.
I managed to do some laundry halfway through the trip, and had to pat myself on the back when I realized I packed the right stuff! Mixing and matching is key, but it’s what kind of items you bring with you that makes all the difference in the world.
Mango is one of those no-fail brands that always offers chic closet staples. You can style these items for both warm Manila weather (as in the outfits below) and real autumn and winter abroad (just throw in black boots, tights and a coat)!
Button-downs are a must. It’s not even optional! You can still wear them on their own while the temperature is tolerable, but they are the best first layers when it comes to cold weather layering.
Dark pants are non-negotiable too. I made the mistake of wearing pastel blue, almost white pants once. Random coffee shop guy spilled his coffee and I got some of it on my pants. Besides the exasperating lack of apology on his end, I had to put up with the stains (which took me about 30 minutes in the bathroom trying to get them as light as possible) the whole day! Never again.
I am partial to skinny pants, but for long haul flights, I prefer more loose-fitting clothes! If you’re going to be stuck in a plane for 16+ hours, comfortable clothes are everything.
Deliberately matched my outfit with this luggage that I got as a gift recently. My usual carry-on luggage (I bring my laptop with me everywhere, or else I die) is slightly bigger than this one but not as cute! Yes to a cuter one please!
Sweaters are essential when traveling. I brought sweaters in varying thickness, and they all did a great job at keeping me warm. I always layer a button-down shirt under, which makes using the sweaters more than once a little less gross, lol.
This particular one is great because it’s not too thick for our weather. I matched it with a sexy pencil skirt (that slit!) for a more Manila-appropriate look.
I also bring at least one blazer with me when I travel because not only does it do a good job at keeping me warm, it can automatically make an outfit look dressier than it actually is. Even the plainest tees can look super chic with a classic blazer.
They also usually come with pockets. And you can never have enough pockets when you’re traveling.
