Just when I thought I was over the sporty style trend, Just G comes out with a new, not-so-cookie-cutter collection that is cuter than your ordinary athletic wear.
At this time last year, they came out with super stylish sweatpants that sold out instantly. How can they not? Nowadays, we all know that multipurpose is the way to go.
Who says you can’t mix in girly details on your favorite gray sweatshirt?
These patterned shorts are so comfortable I’m torn whether I should use them to motivate myself to exercise, or use them as loungewear.
Guess which option I am more inclined to.
And the highlight of this post comes in the form of this skirt that is such a genius idea. There are so many dark gray gym shorts and sweatpants with neon trims - why not make a skirt version?
Casual enough for lazy, everyday dressing, but also awesome enough to be dressed up with bright coral lips, accessories and heels. Pretty much my formula for wearing the trend.
P.S. My new hair color is by Status Salon!
I was thisclose to making Peachy Green as the title as wordplay for peachy keen and the colors of my outfit, but good thing I googled it first before publishing, as I found it to be a brand of cloth diapers. Well, cute ones, but still.
Anyhow, I’ve been bringing out all the spring/summer stuff I haven’t worn yet before everyone starts shifting to fall/winter this September. Highlight of this outfit is definitely this trendy off-shoulder/cold shoulder cut that I’ve done a number of times but have a hard time letting go. Once you find a trend that suits your body type, it’d be unthinkable to completely forget about it after the hype is over. It doesn’t seem like it’s going away any time soon though, and I’m pretty sure there will always be a market (case in point: me included) for shoulder-baring anything now that people have had a taste of it this summer.
This is one cliche that I will always approve of. White has always been a staple color for spring/summer fashion, but with the black-and-white color blocking trend still staying strong, it’s the perfect time to invest in all the white that you need in your closet!
A white top can match pretty much anything and everything! I love this particular one as it has this trendy mesh detail that adds a subtle hint of sexiness. Add a pop of neon for more fun!
White pants can be difficult to pull off for most people (and not to mention, can induce major stain paranoia) but the right cut and the right fit can give you a fresh and unique look.
A white jacket need not look like a doctor’s white coat. This particular one has sequins on them, making it a good day-to-night add-on to a seemingly casual outfit. I’m actually just wearing a simple chiffon top and plain denim shorts underneath!
Been very, very obsessed with retro style for as long as I can remember, and I’m so glad to have chanced upon this top. Just super ideal for the kind of look I was going for. The sleeves make it incredibly precious - I wish to have more of these bell sleeves in the future. Such a sweet detail that I think is quite underrated.
I have also been into a lot of simple rings, usamimi headbands and statement earrings ever since I got back from Osaka. I went on a major accessories shopping spree, and I’m still not satisfied. Less than 10 days left before I leave again for Tokyo! Time is ticking, and chaos awaits my credit card… T_T
Another one of my cliche spring/summer combinations. Denim and floral prints are two separate spring/summer staples, and pairing them together create a very pleasant contrast between sweet and edgy.
I’ve had these denim shorts since about 2007, and thank goodness they still fit me! TBH, I was quite afraid to try them on after so long, thinking that I may have gained weight since then. But genetics has been very kind to me and my siblings - most of our items from way, way back still fit us until now. Phew! Saves us a lot of time and effort buying bigger or smaller sizes. Thanks mom and dad! We’re all dreading that moment when gravity and age finally decide to take their toll on us! T_T
On a related note, I finally got a perfect-fitting floral bomber jacket! It’s not too thick so I can wear it often without sweating like mad. Fast forward to next week, please? Looking forward to spring weather in Japan!
Went quite mod one day, when I just felt like throwing on a simple dress out of sheer laziness. If only summer would end soon, then I’d probably have more energy and drive to dress up as if I put even the slightest bit of effort. Summer has never been my element, sadly.
Thanks to the blue detail on this little shift dress, I am reminded of the ocean’s waves. I’m not going to the beach any time soon, but I could use a whole day of playing in the water to put my mind off the heat. T_T
Just when I was about to get tired of high-low, asymmetrical skirts… this one arrives on my doorstep, thanks to one of my good friends and favorite bloggers, Tin. These kinds of skirts are everywhere now, but this particular design is super special since it looks nothing like the usual chiffon ones that are sold commercially in different mall stores and online shops. Such a breath of fresh air to receive an original design from one of the people I’ve always found so much potential in. Thanks again, Tin!
Aztec print is something I never thought I could wear since my general style isn’t too bold, but who could resist this glorious (and classic!) combination of deep red, black and off white? I certainly couldn’t.
Mixing metallics and neutrals for a change. Also, if you’ve noticed, yellow is my “it” color for the month! Surely there are no complications and complex things when it’s all just black and white, but adding a pop of color creates a lot of drama. I mean, the kind of drama that’s good, and not the kind that ruins your day!
By the time this gets posted, I would’ve already landed in Vietnam! Chao ban!
