Just G: Pink and Purple Pastels

Posted on Sunday, 14 September 2014

Suddenly, something that looks straight out of my summer wardrobe! The weather has been horrible recently, so I decided to go for pink and purple pastels as an attempt to make things a little bit less gloomy. And Just G just happened to have the perfect dress for the job.

Here’s something to add to your growing Just G dress collection! <3

Just G’s new campaign is out, and I’m loving the change! Usually, they go for the typical dolly look, but this time, they went for a much edgier style! I’m so excited to see what they have in store for us Just G lovers in the next couple of months! Crossing my fingers they’ll add more black, haha!

Just G boutique stores can be found in SM Megamall, Market Market, Sta. Lucia, SM Southmall, Eastwood City, SM North Edsa, SM Manila and SM Cebu. Just G and Gingersnaps share spaces at Shangri-la, Rockwell, Robinsons Metroeast, SM Baguio and SM Pampanga. Just G will forever be my top-of-mind store for casual denim + lace + floral print combos. They have a knack for making the daintiest details super wearable and not at all over-stylized. Nothing they sell is intimidating, and while the brand may have an image that they only cater to teens, I find myself still wearing the brand well into my quarter life like it’s perfectly normal. Classic is called classic for a reason. Raise your hands up in the air if you’re already finished with college, and you’re still buying clothes from Just G!

My last 3 Just G looks have all featured denim jackets, but this one is my most favorite so far. Soft denim is everything - lightweight and incredibly comfortable! Moreover, the motorcycle jacket style is forever chic in my book. I already wore this jacket with a pair of skinny jeans and a plain white tee for a perfect “model off-duty” look.

There’s nothing like a gold watch to complete a whole look. I almost never go out without a watch on my wrist nowadays, and I’m thankful that there are watches out there that can serve as *the* statement piece for my outfits.

Obviously, I’m not a fan of piling on accessories or “excessorizing”, and usually just go out with my basic pair of earrings, and a watch of the same metal as my jewelry. The new SHE-4800G-7A watch has genuine SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS that are able to compensate for the simplicity of any look. Been wearing it everyday since I got it from the Time Depot store in Shang! It also comes in rose gold and silver, if you’re not a fan of gold. Was originally eyeing the rose gold one, until I realized I don’t have a lot of rose gold jewelry to match it with. Still gorgeous though (photo here)!

Le Bunny Bleu: Fairytale

Posted on Monday, 11 August 2014

(Chicwish dress, Le Bunny Bleu Twiggy flats) Hype this look on Lookbook here.

Modern fairy look. All I need now are wings!

Le Bunny Bleu currently has their whole S/S 2014 collection on sale. When I went to visit their store in Shang, I didn’t have an excuse not to get these Twiggy flats anymore, especially when I saw the 50% off tag. I’m already psyched for mid-September because I’m honestly more of a F/W kind of girl. Looking forward to a new batch of comfy, stylish, and perfect-for-everyday shoes from one of my favorite shoe brands.

Slightly related story about Le Bunny Bleu shoes - I’ve been watching a K-drama called Master’s Sun recently (thanks to my friends Crissey and Farrah’s recommendation), and noticed a brief cameo of Le Bunny Bleu in one of the episodes, lol. Joo Jоong-won planned Kingdom Mall well!

Le Bunny Bleu Philippines can be found at 5th Floor Shangri-la Plaza (654-2599) and 2nd Floor Glorietta 5 (955-7225).

Candy colors, sorbet shades, and… unicorn prints? Here’s a throwback to my Lisa Frank-filled childhood, only with less saturated rainbow vomit. I’ve been secretly wanting these mystical creature-themed clothing, lol. This is the Tumblr girl in me speaking, obviously.

It was a huge summer trend for a lot of Japanese brands, especially with the recent boom of ’90s style and the Neo Gal subculture movement, and with new brands like EVRIS putting mermaids on everything for their S/S 2014 collection. I don’t think I can ever be bold enough for Alisa Ueno-levels of unicorn-ness, so here’s something that’s a bit more wearable for those days when you just feel like horsing around…

Wore casual summer brights and shiny gold accents on that one sunny day before the typhoon came. I haven’t done print on print in so long, but I’ve always loved the effect of pairing stripes and florals together! Makes for a fun, youthful look.

Thanks to Swedish watch brand TRIWA for my new favorite sunnies and watch! I don’t accessorize heavily, but when I do, I make sure I throw in a classy watch that can double as both an accessory and as a functional timepiece.
