Statement on my top aside, here’s a sweet spring/summer outfit that I wore to a weekend out with my family. I’ve been favoring flat shoes or low heels recently, and I think it’s all because of Le Bunny Bleu’s influence. Their S/S 14 collection is perfect in every way - I had the hardest time choosing what to pick because I had about 5 different pairs that I really wanted to add to my shoe collection.

Ultimately, I chose this pair of oxfords in white, even though the black version was the first one to catch my eye. I have way too many black shoes already, and I believe that white shoes are going to be very trendy in the next couple of months. While most people aim to have abs this summer, I aim to simply lessen the amount of black I wear on a daily basis, lol.

My 2nd choice from the collection was a pair of pastel pink oxfords. Now that I think about it, I should’ve already bought it when I was in the store last week. When you buy 2 pairs from the S/S 14 collection, you can get a free Le Bunny Bleu stuffed toy!

They also launched a new LeBunny Bleu Lovers Discount Card! Customers who purchase any amount in the store will be given a stamp card. Each stamp card has 20 stamps (P500 value each with a total value of P10,000) which must be completed within 1 year.

Once you complete it, the card can guarantee a lifetime discount of 10% for cash and 5% off for credit card purchases. Exclusive promotions and sneak peek of new collections will also be granted to holders of the card.

As an added bonus, the first 10 who will get a card will also receive a special LeBunny Bleu Manila canvas tote.

Visit them at 5th floor Bridgeway, East Wing Shangri-la Plaza (654-2599) and 2nd floor Glorietta 5 (955-7225).

(Le Bunny Bleu flats, EMODA top and skirt, SM Accessories clutch) Hype this look on Lookbook here.

Ultra cute and sparkly Christmas flats? Count me in! More often than not, I’d rather accessorize with sewn-in bling rather than pile a ton of accessories on top of each other. I always try my best to look as chic as possible using the least number of items. Seems like age has really turned me into a practical dresser!

I opted for Le Bunny Bleu’s Sina flats to a whole day of errands and meetings, and to a night out with Rg as we celebrated our 3rd anniversary together! The lack of heels make it casual enough for daytime use, while the presence of embellishments make it dressy enough for a date. If you’re looking for the perfect sophisticute (sophisticated and cute) pair of flats for everyday use, this is it! It also comes in brown/beige if you prefer something lighter that can also suit your spring/summer wardrobe.

There is an on-going sale for those who want first dibs on stocks and sizes (best to go today before people go crazy), but starting tomorrow, January 27, the entire fall/winter collection (examples here) will be 50% off!

This includes all their flats (including the ones I’m wearing here), sneakers, and boots. Time to stock up on these romantic vintage shoes that many K-pop stars love (examples here)! Totally eyeing the Viola loafers, thanks to a photo of a Crayon Pop member wearing them, so I’ll definitely drop by the store during the sale! See you there!

Visit them at 5th floor Bridgeway, East Wing Shangri-la Plaza (654-2599) and 2nd floor Glorietta 5 (955-7225).

Got It Covered

Posted on Tuesday, 31 December 2013

Dumping all these outfits in here before the year ends. 2013 has been a great year for me, and it is probably one that I will never, ever forget. I think my style has changed drastically this year, especially after I got my hair cut and dyed a totally different style from what everyone has been used to all these years. Looking back, it was one of those many decisions that I need to put into my list of impulsive things I did that changed my life for the better.

Today also marks the last day of my 31 Days of Style with Candy! You might have noticed that I’ve been extra active on Lookbook this month and this was the reason why. It’s mostly a story about layering and wearing outerwear. I hope it won’t go away any time soon for those who still need inspiration for cold weather dressing in the next couple of months!

Speaking of Candy, I did a number of medium-length hair tutorials for them last November! I don’t think I’ve mentioned this here before but it’s better late than never, right? I noticed a lot of the girls who went to my book signing events also cut their hair to medium-length - you girls might want to check the videos out for a last minute New Year makeover!

Le Bunny Bleu F/W 2013 + Crissey Collaboration

Posted on Friday, 22 November 2013

Sharing the newest F/W collection of Le Bunny Bleu because it is absolute shoe porn! As I often mention, I’m generally biased towards F/W collections, and this one is not an exception. The amount of holiday colors in this collection is making my fangirl heart beat so fast!

Everything is classy and perfect for everyday use, and you can even own a limited edition Winter Notebook with Crissey's work on the cover if you buy a pair any time soon. Her signature cutesy illustrations are also all over the stores so it makes shopping in Le Bunny Bleu even more enjoyable. Proud BFF moment! I'm Crissey's #1 fan… but you guys all know that already! <3

You can choose which cover to get if you buy a pair from the latest collection. My (obvious) favorite would have to be the girl with roses on her hair! Which Le Bunny Bleu girl is your favorite?

Trendspotting: Checkers

Posted on Saturday, 7 September 2013

Quadrilaterals are always, always welcome in my closet. When wearing patterns and silhouettes, you’ll notice that I like sharp angles instead of round, curvy lines. Boxy shift dresses »> bodycon dresses. Even my taste in bags is quite boxy! I don’t know why I’m so fixated with squares. I’d be the best person to base the main character on if there were ever a square version of Junji Ito’s Uzumaki (spiral).

Lucky for me, this year is a year of checkers, with the originally spring/summer trend even trickling down to autumn/winter. I was browsing through the RUNWAY channel webstore the other week when I noticed how there were so many checkers and all sorts of square-ish patterns, plaid and tartan prints, and boxy shapes in the recent collections of Japanese fashion brands! Even Zara has a ton of them right now, and I hate it because I’m so tempted to buy everything. In Crissey’s words, “Kamukha mo yung buong recent Zara." (You look like the whole recent Zara.)

Anyhow, I underwent a pattern obsession recently, and managed to find 3 different items that fit the bill.

First one is this dress that is boxy in every way possible, just the way I like it. Wore it with my new favorite oxfords, and a tiny cross-body bag… which is also square. Sue me. Maybe next time my hair will become triangular just so I can have more right angles.

Second one is this cute fit-and-flare dress. This is an outfit that’s very reminiscent of my 2011 retro-girly phase, except I tried not wearing a satchel with it to avoid looking too cliche. Still, I ended up pairing it with an even more retro-looking bag because I couldn’t help the cuteness that is JumpFromPaper.

2D cartoon-like bags are starting to become more popular nowadays, and it’s all thanks to JumpFromPaper. Katy Perry sported one before and people just immediately fell in love with the quirky concept. I think it’s quite ingenious too!

Of course, I can’t leave this entry without putting on some printed pants which I paired with a printed top. Print-on-print is something I rarely do, but grid patterns that remind me of my old Math notebooks work surprisingly well with other geometric elements. Like lines. And more boxy bags. Don’t misunderstand though - I can be a little geeky, but I definitely do not enjoy math!
