(Grife Zara top, Romwe skirt, Ferreti heels, Studio Boheme x Crissey Bow Happy satchel) Hype this look on Lookbook here.
I’ve had this bag for a long time now and have used it a number of times already, but I can’t forgive myself for only being able to shoot it now. I’m so proud of my BFF Crissey for this amazing design collaboration, as it definitely put a much higher standard on customized satchel designs. The bows really made it so distinct, and I love how it’s so “Crissey” in that cute way that we all know her for.
To balance out the cuteness, I paired the satchel with a long-sleeved top and a high-waist leatherette skirt… a.k.a. my uniform. Be proud though? I’m really trying my best to add in new elements to my usual outfits, like this trendy v-neck style that seems to be all the rage now. I still get a little conscious about the neckline. Baby steps towards a more mature style…
Only proves how long I’ve been keeping my chest fully covered, lol. Conservative much!
Seriously feeling as mixed as the prints on my top. Don’t know if it’s stripes with leopard print, or leopard print with stripes, but it’s probably not important, or worth my time self-debating about. Yup, I should listen to what I type in here.
Paired it with something I’ll always be sure of - this kind of skirt. As much as I try to seem more mature now that I’m 24, I can never shake this cutesy silhouette off. Some things will always remain the same, I guess!
Black and/or white with blue color accent is quite big nowadays. You see it all over the fall collections of high street fashion brands such as Zara and Mango, and even Forever 21 is crazy about this color combination.
Lucky for me, blue is my favorite color, and now is the perfect time to stock up on so many pretty blue things!
A light powder blue is one alternative to those who think bright royal blue is too bold. I’m also crazy about ultra light powder blue wash jeans, which I think is a very good compromise between pastel and normal wash denim.
I know I’ve worn this skirt like a hundred times already, but leather skirts are a must this season! Japanese magazines such as SCawaii, Jelly and ViVi are pairing all their cutesy tops with kickass leatherette to produce the most interesting results. Pair with an embellished or studded purse to add to that subtle rocker look.
Before I end this post, let me emphasize the pearls on the collar of my top! Isn’t it such a genius idea, especially for people who aren’t so keen on wearing accessories? One of the best things this season are embellishments attached clothing! It’s an effortless way to present yourself while still being practical and fuss free. I have this top in black also, and I wear it every time I travel!
This is me clearly taking advantage of the cold(er) weather! For this outfit, I paired my new printed bottoms with a faux leather jacket to create a playful and casual look that I was able to wear day and night.
Because I am very predictable in terms of my fashion choices, it’s already probably no surprise that this is mostly black and white again, with yellow color accent.
My supposed attempt to bring something new to the table was this maroon-colored bag, which turned out to still be very “me”, considering I practically wore this color almost everyday when the year started!
How do you like this look? I was inspired by the kind of fashion I saw in Paris while I was there last April! Most of the girls in the streets wore all sorts of chic leather jackets which they styled in different ways. Of course this jacket isn’t real leather, but it totally works here in tropical Manila since it doesn’t give off the same amount of heat as real leather, making it still very wearable on gloomier days!
